Amazing Wild Dog Sighting on ZGR!

Experiencing their first kill, volunteer’s watched as the pack of wild dogs on Zimanga flushed a young warthog piglet out of its burrow and ripped it to pieces. We managed to follow them the whole morning and got to see the dog’s crossing over the reserve looking for potential prey. After the feast and still with the pig’s head and some legs in their mouths, they moved up the road to a watering whole were volunteers got a spectacular show.

Running and chasing each other, some playing in the water.  One claimed the head as the prize for the morning while four others remained only a few feet behind trying to snatch it away.  What an action packed morning.
