Possible den and pup's for the wild dog pack

Stellar, the alpha female of the Venetia Limpopo Nature Reserve wild dog pack (Lycaon pictus), seems to have denned at last, however the site is high up in a rocky koppie and is not accessible by vehicle, so there have been no visuals of any puppies yet. Indeed it is not known for sure whether Stellar has given birth yet or not.

Researchers on the reserve from both the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) and GVI are still trying to find an access route up to the den, however it may turn out that it's only accessible on foot and thus we may have to wait until either the pack moves the den (which could happen at any stage) or the pups are big enough to move away from the den (at about 4 months of age) before we gain any visual of them.

The pack has been spotted a few times since localising in the den area, including on the last day of the recent GVI expedition, when expedition members were treated to a sighting of the endangered wild dogs (Stellar’s teats seemed quite swollen), a brown hyena (Hyaena brunnea), a lion pride (Panthera leo) and an elephant bull (Loxodonta africana) too!
