Venetia elephant break-in

Venetia Limpopo Nature Reserve seems to have acquired a new bull elephant (Loxodonta africana). It appears to have come through from neighbouring Mapungubwe National Park, as the reserve's fencing crew, that check all 120km of fenceline daily, found where it had broken through the fence on the northern boundary. It is often found that by the time the break-in is noticed and repaired, the culprit has exited in the same place but this time he has remained and the fence has been repaired. Reports are that the bull is bigger than any of the existing Venetia bulls, though GVI research teams are yet to gain a visual of him to photograph him and draw up a proper ID kit. This photo is of Fumbe on Karongwe but keep an eye out we'll post a photo of the new male when we have a good one.
