Sounds of Venetia.
The ten weekers continue their African adventure after some well deserved time off.
It has been an interesting switch over from Karongwe to Venetia, but everyone seems to be settling in well. All of us are adjusting to tent-life and are really enjoying the vastness and peacefulness of Venetia, the only noises we hear being those of the animals.
The only worry on anyone's mind might be being charged by a bull elephant,(Loxodonta africana) as we have already had some close encounters! It sure does add to the excitement, as we have grown accustomed to elephants who would happily engage in a tickle fight. (Not really, but you get the point!) The elephants on Venetia are definitely less used to seeing people or vehicles.
A big Thank You to our friends at Karongwe, we wish you all the best!
It will be fun encountering new wildlife here, and making new friendships along the way. These next four weeks will be quite exciting, and we are all anxious to see what new adventures Venetia has to offer!

Missing you all terribly as I sit at my computer looking out onto the miserable rain and cold. Wishing I was with you being charged by very wild elephants!
