You lucky fish!

Lucky as the were in the short time our volunteers have been in Venetia they have been privileged enough to be a part of a lion darting and operation. We once again darted our lions (Panthera leo) collared Milo our one young female for the first time and Blade our dominant male lion got a new collar. Both of them are now a part of the thermo regulating study done by our GVI team and by the help of satellite collars collecting data from the veld and comparing it to data stored by the satellites.

We are all holding our fingers crossed to see if this exiting new technology can help give more accurate data and in the long run make a huge contribution to conservation all over the world!
