When drive goes to plan and a something extra!

We all appreciate it when a drive goes to plan - Blade (our dominant male lion (Panthera leo)) is close to where you last left him, the block he's in isn't full of Mopane trees and Pam's Herd (our collared female elephant) (Loxodonta africana) isn't mobile. But sometimes, as has happened a few times recently, it's those drives that don't quite follow the script and that you re rewarded with something a bit different.

Had it not been for the flat tyre for example, we wouldn't have been driving to the nearest compressor pump & would have missed the caracal (Felis caracal) that was sitting by the side of the road. A rare treat and my favourite to see, even when it's only a brief encounter.
