Mundulea Makeover

Mundulea House, a.k.a GVI Base, Karongwe has undergone somewhat of a transformation recently. Having seen around 500 volunteers since GVI moved in, the house had naturally begun looking a little tired. Therefore, we decided to give the place a new lick of paint and spruce up the surrounds. The current volunteer group has been fantastic in their initiative and drive to help us complete the project. So far, the outside walls are a gleaming shade of ‘pale hazelnut’ and the lawn is now neatly trimmed against the wild backdrop of the autumn bushveld. The various paths criss-crossing the property are rock lined and our verandah has undergone a redesign.

We hope to get the inside walls redone too, watch this space!

The GVI staff team here at Karongwe is sincerely grateful for the efforts of the 111B expedition members, without whom our plans would have never come into fruition so efficiently!
