A Day For Rhinos

We were on a game drive in the northern part of Venetia Limpopo Nature Reserve in the mid-morning when suddenly through the mopane shrub to our left we saw a white rhino (Ceratotherium simum) cow with her two month old calf. It was adorable! We could tell immediately that it was a white rhino because the calf was in front, the mother cleverly shepherding it as she went. What an amazing sight! It was definitely a day for rhinos as later on we saw a large splendid bull and two teenage white rhinos having a scuffle.
