Wild Dogs visit Venetia

It was with much excitement that GVI received information late last week that a pack of at least 6 wild dogs (Lycaon pictus) had been seen on a neighbouring game farm. Excitement turned to delight as the pack then crossed onto Venetia two days later. Focus drives continue as normal with the added chance of bumping into these endangered carnivores. This morning a fresh kill was found just around the corner from camp with the pack having successfully brought down a young kudu. Unfortunately the elusive dogs remain just that leaving only scat and a few tracks behind as we wait to discover what will happen next.
