Singin' in the rain!

With tantalizing reports of rain all over South Africa, we at Venetia have been getting very frustrated with black clouds that keep coming and going. Having been sweatin’ in the sun we can now say we’re happily singin’ in the rain (what Safari camp lacks in lampposts we more than make up for in Mopane trees!). Last Wednesday finally saw our first notable rainfall, with 30mm coming overnight. Whilst no more has followed yet the reserve has been transformed into a sea of green with the remaining trees sprouting fresh leaves in the space of a few days. Bring on the next storm!
