A Magical time of year at Venetia!
Since our new expo has started we have had loads of rain, it has proven to give us loads of experiences, from being stuck in camp with the Kolope river flooding to being stuck on the reserve with too many muddy patches.
Our volunteers are sure to be clean after being drenched in rain on a number of occasions!
Dung beetles are hard at work, and lazy Giant land snails (Achatina achatina) are crossing the roads enjoying the moist soil. Butterflies are soaring the skies and the hornbills are having a feast with all the insects to feed their young!
One thing is sure at the moment Venetia is not short on two things, Mopane worms (Gonimbrasia belina) and rain!
