AARDVARK!!!!!!! Orycteropus afer

What an amazing sighting! A beautiful aadrvark (Orycteropus afer) was spotted by one of our volunteers, Divya, with the spotlight. The aardvark (Orycteropus afer) was very calm and looked at us for a while before going into an old termite mound!

Aardvarks (Orycteropus afer) sometimes live in old termite mounds, its a good place to dig out a burrow to sleep in. They also feed from active termite mounds as they are specialised termite eaters.
