Darting Venetia Cats!
Just as we thought we had an exiting morning, the evening made our day the best ever on Venetia! As soon as we found the lions(Panthera leo) on the afternoon drive, Venetia management informed us that they were going to dart the lions the same night. After three long hours, one blue wildebeest(Connochaetes taurinus) carcass,5 darts, lots of nerves and a big cloud of dust we got all the lions into the boma at 21:00 pm. All exited and just a little tired we returned to camp awaiting an exiting morning of surgery!
