It was very very nice!!!

We left Venetia Camp early morning and arrived at Leshiba mountains just before lunch. On arrival a black mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis) darted across the road in front of us. After 3 weeks of cold showers, the facilities at Leshiba felt like paradise! We headed out for our first walk shortly after lunch, which lead us along the cliff edge, looking down over the valley with stunning views.

The next day was followed up with a long walk as we cut our way through with machetes. Later to find a white rhino (Ceratotherium simum) and her calf grazing outside the lodge on return. We finished the trip with a camp fire in the evening and a "braai"(south african bbq) were we had a few drinks and relaxed.

Overall our experience at Leshiba Wilderness was amazing. We saw many species of birds, reptiles and animals, from black eagles (Aquila verreauxii) to rhino's and learnt alot of the local grasses and trees.

It was very very nice!!!!
