The Wetlands of Venetia

We are happy to have finally had the shortage of our annual rainfall here at Venetia. We were shorting on about 150 mm. And it being Africa we weren’t really surprised when we got it all at once. Waking up to the sounds of water we were however surprised to see the Kolope River (usually seasonal river that almost never flows) out of its banks and whole trees coming down the river! Hopefully this will deter the elephants (Loxodonta africana) from using our water supply for a bit. We are hoping to see Venetia in an excellent condition and have the world grass green around us! (Once we are able to get out there!)
