Always expect the unexpected!

Drive started off with a bang, when the guys managed to find the cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) within a hour, they had a brilliant sighting for 45min and was finished early with their focus animal for a change. This is when the unexpected happened. Something caught their eye and there it was, the spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) everyone have been waiting to see. Even better after following her for about a 100m they found another three feasting on a warthog (Phacochoerus aethiopocus).

This made us all very exited in terms of our data collection and seemingly the sightings have all been in the same area, might give us the chance to finally find the den sight that will provide us with the data and hyena focus we all want to do.
